Apparently Red Hat have gobe to two versiosn of their product - the existing open-source one and a new bells'n'whistles pay through the nose version to take on Microsoft.

Which has me thinking: If you were willing to pay a heap of good money for an OS wouldn't you just keep paying the evil empire that makes the OS that would allow most of your existing programs to run ? I mean why change ?

(P.S. Bill Gates gives me the..... well, I don't like him).

The question you have to ask, Vlad,

is why keep feeding the evil empire?

if WE dont buy elsewhere,,,

soon enough ( if not already) there will be nowhere else to buy,,

lots of people sueing MS,,

even INTEL now are into this "sue the smaller company and send it broke thru lawyers" thing,,, taking a couple of small english firms to court of trade name infrigements or something,,,,

but,, thats how MS got so big,,, bought, fought and "did everthing necessary" to obtain what they wanted,, company, software, copyright,,
even the US gov is scared of taking them on,,,
