Still a few concerns, mainly if the skin dies or not, she won't be fit for work for at least two months, so it is a long path ahead, a small step at a time, but it is GOOD NEWS that she was released from hospital so quickly, I couldn't believe it when she told me.She will have nasty scar on her leg, I don't think she is too impressed with that, I don't think anybody likes nasty scars, more so if you are a woman.

Mate, explain to your daughter that she does not have a nasty scar.She will have nasty scar on her leg, I don't think she is too impressed with that, I don't think anybody likes nasty scars, more so if you are a woman.
She has a campaign ribbon and she survived.

Actually, she now has TWO campaign ribbons, she was attacked by a dog when she was five years old which left a small scar on her top lip. Must be a message there somewhere.
PS: to the above.
My late wife Betty had a big campaign ribbon from neck to below rib cage following big heart valve and bypass surgery.
She would prowdly show the girls in her craft group, tits and all.

sorry to hear of what your daughter went through. the owner is responsible for what has happened. i know dogs protect against strangers coming in, but for that one to be so vicious, and it was indeed carrying on after being pulled away and shut away, then there is something not right with it. i dont think the 'has it for protection' statement should be any course for worry though. as most people have dogs to feel safer in their own homes. i will not walk anywhere alone without my two dogs. i seem to be a magnet for horrible people and my dogs have kept me safe from an abusive ex and an aggressive dog that went for me. they are my companions, friends, and there to keep me safe should anything happen. (all my pets are my children as i cannot have my own) they are not attack trained, but are well trained and well mannered well socialised dogs. it is strange that a mastif attacked in such a way, they are normally such gentle giants. the owner majorily failed your daughter in not ensuring the dog was secure when they knew she was coming. and they failed the dog for not securing it or raising it right. something went wrong with that dog to turn an otherwise gentle breed into a monster :O so sending your daughter healing vibes, and positive thoughts. and i hope the dog and the dogs owner are dealt with.
i came across a really really aggressive bulldog late last year (not the aggressive dog my dogs defended me from) and the owner of that dog made my blood boil. she had no control over it. it was not in a secured yard. the only barrier being an automatic roller door between the streets and the yard. that dog should it get out would target whatever ran past. child, adult or whatever. i was helping my then mate (now partner) at work (roller door technician) and it ran down to me, he got in its wya, it was biting and attacking him, he kicked it to defend himself, and the owner then rang and reported him to his boss for being aggressive with her dog!i have never seen a dog be so suddenly aggressive as tht one wsa.(all it took was his boss to see the bite marks and bruises from this bulldog and i think the council went out to her. i can imagine that this dog was much the same jsut a larger scale with even mroe aggression!
