She did and she learned a few things that connected the dots with other symptoms not connected by docs in Aus. He will be visiting Sydney to give some lectures later this year and has invited Elisabeth's specialist (in another field) to go along.

It was well worth the money spent just for that consult.

Today on the bus was BAD! I simply couldn't take the tour leader any more. I was ready to get off and walk.

Elisabeth gave me two Temazepan (similar to Valium), I got the iPhone, a set of earbuds and turned the sound up as loud as I could get it. Even Alice Cooper, AC/DC, and Marilyn Manson couldn't drown out the commentary.

When we stopped for lunch I had a beer and that, combined with the Valium and the music, and Elisabeth asking the tour leader to drop the volume, calmed me enough to stay on the bus.

However, the other old farts on the bus complained they couldn't hear her even though she was still pounding through to my brain.

It was so bad that I couldn't concentrate on the scenery. All I could concentrate on was trying to shut her out.

But I couldn't go out to for the dinner cruise on the lake here at Lugano. I couldn't face putting up with the tour leader again. Instead I caught the funicular railway to the top of the mountain Monte San Salvatore and then climbed to the top of the church tower which overlooks the city.

Unfortunately, it's back onto the bus again tomorrow. I am dreading it and am really hating this part of the trip.

Yeah, those tour bus leaders can be shockers. They seem to think they've become fabulous entertainers just because they have a microphone. I'd prefer they handed out written notes and just confirmed which place you were at so you could look up the notes.
Another annoyance is when they play movies loudly on the bus. I can ignore the movie but the sound is usually so loud its an issue.

Sorry Ron I feel for you, but I would not like to be as unhappy about life as you are.

Have a look at what some other poor buggers are going through and look on the bright side please.

Buy a set of BOSE active noise reduction headphones. You don't even have to be listening to music. I have travelled all over this country on all types of military aircraft and they are great. Just need to remember to have a spare AAA battery.

I'm using noise canceling earbuds but the really only work with background droning, etc. I have tried earplugs. Nothing works.

This morning others on the bus complained they couldn't hear the tour leader so she turned up the volume.

I'd had enough by the first stop today and told her I just wanted to get off the bus and that I'd never do another bus trip - and why. She said she had 24 complaints yesterday from others who said they couldn't hear her. Nevertheless, she reduced her commentary to a minimum.

I'll be glad to get home in another fortnight. I'll never do another trip like this.
