I want your photos and Info! Civilian 6x6 Land Rover 110

    Long time no post!

Ok, i've always loved the 6x6, but the numbers of 6x6 civilian vehicles has always been a mystery. I got one document the other day saying that there was as few as 33. Now I'm sure it would have been more than that, so i am trying to expand the list on REMLR as much as possible, and for that I need your help, post up photos, information or Vin numbers of any known 6x6 vehicles.

I am mainly looking at the Land Rover made ones, but others in Australia I might include to at least say they are not a LR built one. The existing register is on this page of REMLR

Have you got Bill/Wagoo's 2a 6x6 conversion? That thing was a beast! May have been ex-mil too.

From memory there were approximately 200-250 built, enough to get ADR approval/plates most were to Govt./semi Govt. Depts. some released to private sale, most had the Izusu 4BDI diesel or the 3.5 carbied V8 coupled to the 4 speed LT95 gearbox but not originally the LT95A military box, some may have been fitted with LT95A's during warranty repairs, but gee that was a long time ago and I don't remember the details

I have a friend that has a civilian one, so I will contact him next month at GCLRO meeting and see if I can get his Vin No.

    cheers

The 110 Australian supplement to the owner's handbook covers the 6x6 - I gave Incisor a scanned copy of this so you should be able to get it from the shop (probably have to buy the relevant CD).

Phoenix, I'm guessing that you only want the ones built by JRA at the Moorebank Factory?

My UK build 6X6 is technically a factory build although it was sent to Reynolds Boughton for the modification and then returned to the Solihull Land Rover factory for completion.

Keith's 6x6 FC camper is on a Perentie 6X6 chassis with the ROPs cab sat up in the FC position and then SIIB panels fitted in front and wider bonnet and grill panel made to suit the wide cab.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
