I scored my OzPig for $90 from a local selling on FB of all places.
A quick clean up and some Pot Belly Black paint and good as new.
Worked a treat at Melrose this weekend

Looks good.
Gotta admit I spent a lot of time ogling an Ozpig at a recent camping show, while dropping hints to The Navigator about what a good buy it would be (which she ignored).

Yeah, was ogling the ozpig myself. Ninety bucks is a steal. I couldn't justify the three hundred bucks plus for an ozpig. Hence my own interpretation.
Think I'll put a hinged front door on it as well, to improve its versatility.
Wish I was talented enough to build this. I love it.

It certainly is one in a minion.
Exactly !!
Technically, I "manufactured" the young bloke who gave me one of these for a birthday present last year..... a little Arken ****en on my behalf
Brilliant bit of gear. 316ss. Last a lifetime. No burnt crop circles on the ground. Doubles well for cooking and socializing.
... and the little ****en works at Drifta![]()
Kev..

Not strictly an Arlec ****en, but it's better here than starting a new thread. I finally got around to making up a spit that has been in the project pipeline for around 5 years. It is gas powered, but I may make a rack up to go inside it at some stage so I can use heat beads. I have shoe horned in 2 burners - maybe overkill, but I'll see how it goes. All the gas parts came from a old BBQ I grabbed from a hard rubbish collection. I've had to modify a few things with a mixture of soldering and JB Weld. Those parts are in areas that shouldn't see too much heat.
I'll fit the other half of the keg as a lid at some stage and then I'll have an outdoor oven as well.
First trial run this arvo, with a lump of pork. I'll report back on the findings...
