Jarrah is a native tree in these parts, plenty of it 40km away

I've been working on my 9kg gas bottle to BBQ and heater conversion (arken ****en to you) - it's more BBQ than heater - but this collapsible flat pack fire pit ended up leap flogging it in the garage pecking orderuploadfromtaptalk1405855775721.jpguploadfromtaptalk1405855798193.jpg.

It cooked a lovely rolled shoulder of pork today.

The spit pickets can be used in the ground, or with the fire pit.

Little bit of work, and one shed heater for me..
That has to be the most unplanned use ever, using a fire suppression unit cylinder for a fire.... The irony!

IF that's what it is of course

Yep, it certainly was what you are thinking.

Just a touch of irony, me thinks...

Just a simple one on the back verandah for me ................

Has a stainless mesh panel that sits in the top so you can cook a steak - but works better with a camp oven sitting in the top of it though.
    Cheers .........

Had the inaugural cook up on my ex-gas cylinder last night. Spuds in the coals, steaks on the grill (nicely charred). Bit worried about the paint and smoke liberated initially, but all good once that settled down. I'll give it a lick of paint to tidy it up. The legs unscrew. The grill can be set at three heights. There's a grate in the bottom. Plan to get a camp oven as well that can be inserted.

The ash pan underneath can be screwed up and down or off, to adjust the air feed. Plus the vent in the lid.
