Thread: Honeymoon Revisited.....

We are presently sitting about two streets away from where we spent several weeks during our honeymoon....way back in 1975.

Some may not agree it is a very "romantic" destination, but we had a fantastic time exploring, fishing, camping and swimming in spectacular gorges.

So, where are we....Port Hedland, WA. Cooke Point to be precise, presently camped in the caravan park for a day or so, then heading to Broome.

We really enjoyed the drive across here, caught up with family in Adelaide, Clare, One Tree Hill, Port Victoria and Ceduna.

Spent a most enjoyable evening with BMKal and his family in Kalgoorlie, then headed north to Naigra Dam (nice camping) then to Sandstone..what a friendly town .

Followed the Northern Gold trail and tracks to Agnew, via the dirt road which was OK in parts, but a bit ordinary in other parts. Then to Meekatharra & then Newman, then to the new Roy Hill mine. From here we cut across to Karinjini NP. Camped out in some lovely bush spots on the way.

Stopped at Tom Price to replenish supplies then took a swim in Hamersley gorge.

Will post up a trip report when we get home.

didnt find out till later thats where my mum and dad went on theirs!
