    VERY LAST ARMY LAND ROVER?

    Just before kick off in the Roosters and St George ANZAC day test the commentator said as the military party was coming on to the field that the car at the head of the convoy was the very last military Land Rover.

    Did he mean the very last built or the last one they will use? I thought the roll out of the Gwagon would take some time.

    There are still quite a few Perenties driving around Canberra with Army number plates on them.

    And still will be for a couple of years yet.
    Commentators, like journalists, are trained at an early age to not let facts get in the way of a good story. He quite possibly meant that it was the last one that he had seen that day!

    More likely the last model in a series of land rovers the Army has used.
