    Bob, people that complained about that threads (for adults ) said that they cannot helped themselves to participate to defend their belief.
    Do not get me wrong Bob, I like this topics with exchange of views but I am confused with the lack of consistence regarding which type of topics are allowed.

    Dullbird, please help!!

    We, as a group, have to learn to discuss these important topics without bringing our own political bias's, and prejudices into it. Myself included. We almost made it once, but the fringe dwellers couldn't help themselves. It's time for the fringe dwellers to join the mainstream, and let us have a mature and informed discussion, without it turning into personal attacks, [ I know mods, I've done my time in the naughty corner] Arthur , FWIW, I enjoy your posts. You have a passion, and humanity so often missing in internet forums, don't be discouraged. Now, "Cut to the chase, Watson", let's see if we, as a group, can do this. Bob
    I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

    A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    This seemed weird to me, so I went looking. Nowhere can I find a CSIRO report that says this. In fact their latest says this:

    "A large majority of people think climate change is happening, and are slightly more likely to attribute climate change to humans than to natural fluctuations in Earth’s temperature. More than 80% of respondents thought climate change was happening, similar to previous surveys. On average, respondents estimated that human activity accounted for about 62% of changes to the climate."

    Only fringe lunatics like Jo Nova are making the claim that there are more skeptics (deniers) than sane people.

    Not weighing in for one side or the other, but the CSIRO Fourth Annual Survey of Australian Attitudes to Climate Change Interim Report breaks it down into categories;
    7.6 % don't think climate change is happening
    6.3% don't know if it is or not
    38.8% think it is happening but due to natural causes
    47.3% think humans are causing it

    Therefore more people are sceptical of climate change and/or the involvement of humans.

    You can't just start grouping categories together and adding up the percentages. That's not how research works.

    Well, actually you CAN do that. It's what paid nutters like Nova and Bolt do. But it's fallacious.

    Fair play, but in statistical terms you can say that less than half those surveyed believe that humans are responsible for climate change.

    Bob, take a chill pill. If I added my true feelings I would be permanently sent into your previously mentioned naughty corner. I'm merely pointing out that I agree with a fellow member.

    You are entitled to add your true feelings, if presented in in a way not to be offensive. Add them Bob
