Skepticism is an attitude , not a belief or set of beliefs.

It involves a willingness to enquire , to investigate , to think critically about any subject.

The alternative to skepticism is to accept things on faith and assert them dogmatically.

Skepticism is a virtue ; irrational dogmatism is a vice.

There is no need to defend skepticism.

    Irrational dogmatism is indefensible.

    Deniers are dogmatic.

    Skeptics are not.

Already, we have gone off track. Is it any wonder, the rest of the World can not come to terms with this? What a shame, Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Bob, the world will not come to terms in any topic were it can upset the comfort of people or affect their interests or greedy goals, be financial or material things that make their life more enjoyable even if have negative results in others.
Greed is the biggest "cancer" in human society, it have affected us for thousands of years in one form or other and will be continue to be so. It is human nature.
    Now, I will have a strong drink...................Cheers

I certainly don't believe every thing I read but if a major newspaper came out and quoted an organization, in this case the CSIRO, and it was not true, wouldn't you think that they would be jumping up and down slamming the paper.

Their silence after the report was deafening, this being enough for me to believe the story. Having said this, I would reckon that over the last couple of years that every time the topic(climate change) comes up for discussion I have come across more skeptics than warmists.

why do you insist on using the word skeptic?
you obviously have no idea what it means.
    you are referring to deniers.

I cannot understand why if some of you are so interested in the CSIRO poll why do not do a search instead of relying on the press
The CSIRO page with the polls is HERE
