Interesting to read this thread from the start!

These sort of rock spiders are all around us. All of the time.

The sad part is where you start looking now. Now that this result has developed. The saddest part for our children is we don't look around for very long.

    Do we?

Well I hope the internet and social media helps to flush these sort of scum out a lot faster in the future.

Celebrities, the salvo's , the Navy, Duntroon , it's a sad world we are in.
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

I'm guessing he'll probably get 2-5 years with part of it suspended, but I think he's going to be paying more in compensation.

Harris may be hit by compensation claims

It would appear a few more victims have come forward too.

And, hopefully, the strong will also defend the weak.

Now I must first preface this with the assertion that what Harris has been convicted of is wrong, wrong, wrong. However...

It is intriguing to see how swiftly his home town of Bassendean has moved to divorce itself completely from him and erase any evidence of his existence there. I wonder though, whether a celebrity criminal would receive the same kind of treatment if he was convicted of, say, drug offences, common assault or even murder? In fact I suspect if he were convicted of armed robbery they might even put up another memorial to him.

There is a peculiar hysteria associated with sex crimes.

It is also sad to see how this action in his personal life has now effectively trashed his entire body of creative work. It's not like he was a drug cheat in some sport. His perversions in no way compromised his obvious talent nor should they diminish the value of his creative output. But it seems we have now lost "Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport" and the wobble board for ever.

....Good news never made a paper sell.......and it didn't take channel 7 long to cash in either.

This week, a woman gives birth to a child fathered by a 15 year old boy, she is 43 but the word paedo was never mentioned, and there was no custodial sentence.......because of the baby ......of course.

Isn't this considered child abuse nowadays?

So now this young male, not even an adult will have his wages attached for child support for the next 18 years.
