What Mr Carter seems to do best, other than shed hair. The other dog is Mango a small dog that looked old when she was a pup and is now old, so finally fits the look.

Nan & I went to mate's daughters wedding the weekend in Tweed Heads. Nice quiet event with some special Ring Bearers.

It’s the very end of our summer and probably our last warm and dry walk up on the moors for the next 6 or 7 months!

hehe,, That's called tormenting
Hi everyone, just an update on my best mate Snoopy. It seems hes slowing down a lot. He got something in his eye yesterday so off to the vet we went. She couldnt find anything in his eye. Tested the tear ducts, put some flourescing stuff in them. Nothing under UV light. He looked like a devil dog with glowing eyes tho...lol. Put some local in his eyes. 2 drops in each. Checked his 3rd eye lid for any foreign bodies. Nothing to be found. So the account was done. Keep putting maxidex in his eyes as usual. All good. $105.00. "I Didnt charge you for the local in his eyes" she said. "How much was that i asked?" "$20.00". "Ok thanks". So 4 drops of local is $20.00. That must mean the whole bottle is worth about $25,000. Yeah right. So i took my mate home. This morning he was still scratching at his eye. Swollen and obviously sore. So i gave him some doggy tramadol. 10mg. That got him sleeping the day away. Had to leave him home for a few hrs so i could go to hosp to see a mate who just had major heart surgery a couple weeks ago. Hes only 45. New valve and new aorta. Had an embolism. Lucky it was picked up. Got home tonight and Snoopy seems ok. No more eye scratching atm. I got a bad feeling hes on his way out. Poor little mate. Im keeping a very close eye on him.
Love him to bits.
Cheers Rod
