That's why I think scientists should spend more time and research on extending the life of dogs than humans.

One of the Sons had one of those,it was the most food driven dog I have ever known.

    Anyway,at 14.5yrs old,he went, and they now have a pup,same breed,it is 10 weeks old
    Although a different colour,called Ruby I think.

We have a couple of labradoodles next door and one of them in particular is very proficient at sniffing out, unwrapping and devouring, in quick time, any meat that is left on the bench top. 'Kills' so far include, but is not limited to, lamb backstraps, pork chops, chicken kebabs and numerous other food items such as fruit cake etc.
We're dog sitting them for a few days at present and so far they have managed to behave themselves.

Be carefull they never get hold of a roast that has string tieing it together.

The string often gets caught at the outlet of the stomach and causes huge issues.

It was the 30cm piece of line that caused the problem with our last Springer,it also got caught at the outlet of the stomach. The fish hook it was attatched to,caught on the stomach wall was not a problem.

We had a Beagle living up the road, the owners didn't believe their dog should be confined to the yard, every bin night he would knock over every wheely bin in our street & the surrounding streets & go through them looking for food. After many complaints from the neighbours which the owners ignored, he just disappeared, not sure what happened to him. We all thought the lady was a bit loopy she would go walking about 20 times a day & get on the roof of her house in just her bikini bottom to clean out the gutters & mow the front yard in the same attire.
