You've just got to be careful what you buy. Some very notable brands are infact rubbish.
I've been burnt recently buying cheap parts from one of the biggest aftermarket companies out of the uk.
From now on I'll be buying genuine or known good quality parts. Oem suppliers like delphi, airtech, valeo etc.

I have noticed this quite regularly on eBay there will be an item usually from overseas somewhere with a stupid price on it. I suspect there is a glitch somewhere in some calculator function on EBay.

It's simply a way a business seller minimises his costs. When he runs out of stock he just puts a silly price on the item to stop it selling. This saves on relisting fees.

That goes for the locally bought stuff as well. A couple of years ago I bought an ignition switch that lasted two weeks. Because of that, there is now an intersection that is now known as "Mick's Corner".
