Not a nice thing to do to somebody

When I was in the Army Reserve we did a huge trip from Puckapunyal to Wodonga, then up to Mildura, back down thru the Little Desert & back thru Horsham central Vic. 6-700 klm
We took a Land Rover, Mk 3 Inter 4x4 and a dodge 4x4 tipper. We were late getting back & the Sargeant, who was waiting to take the same vehicles over the same trek with another group wasn't very pleasant to us. He refuelled the vehicles, & took his team out the gate still cursing.
Just as the dodge took off, our corporal chased after it shouting wait, wait. They stopped and he jumped on the running board, said something & the truck took off. He came back sniggering, but wouldn't let us in on the joke.
The second crew were about 2 days overdue, we knew it had started to rain heavily in the desert as the Dodge nearly got stuck a few times with us. These guys eventually turned up looking like drowned rats, totally knackered & fed up. I asked one of them what was the problem, & he said they towed the dodge out of about 100 bogs as they couldn't use four wheel drive. I said "what did you do to it" they said nothing, it was us who stuffed it. I said nope, it works in 4x4 no worries. They said nope, your corporal said as we were leaving, for Christs sake, don't put this in 4wd:p

Bloke was going on long service leave and hid all of the mouse balls from the admin office (about 40 of them!) - caused much confusion the next work day ! They EVENTUALLY (weeks later) found them all stashed in the ceiling above the removable tiles when getting a light replaced !

when I worked for the MOD in the LAD (Light Aid Detatchment) we wired up a set of steel lockers to a magneto and used to make them live when it was a break time etc.,
this was until a usually really placid guy had an RF(raging fury) nearly pulling the whole row on top of him,Mac the chargehand threatened to sack us if we ever did it again, so we wired up the apprentices tool boxes instead.

The nicest one I ever came across was a local church group filled the hubcaps of a rather less well off young couple's VW Beetle car with COINS as they left to go on their honeymoon! This very nice touch made what was going to be a rather spartan honeymoon into a very memorable one.

I have been told of people dying in pranks going wrong, so always consider fatal consequences. Love the cable tie aroundtail shaft though.

Not a prank, but well before I married, my neice when she was 4 years old thought it would be real nice thing to fill my wife's petrol tank [Datsun 240Z] with a load of pretty petals of flowers. A petal ended over the petrol outlet to engine, and car would stop. Wait five minutes it would go again. Caused my wife big bucks and the mechanic headaches to find the intermittant problem.

One guy had one of those fibreglass beach buggies with the VW motor in the back [always wanted one myself]. After a night on the town, some mates lifted his car and carried it into, and put it across a doorway, where it just fitted, leaving no room to drive it out.

Up until the early 1970's one could still buy bags of photographic flash powder at Camco in Pitt St. Sydney. A good party trick was to empty an ash tray (so you didn't get flashed) and pour some of the dirty grey flash powder into it and put it where a smoker would use it.

.. what can I say I was young. :oops: ... I'm older ... and wiser now. :roll: ...I am... I really am...

I like these cause they caused suitable grief....... but did somewhat less real damage than the winch cable over the roof trick...

Used to go to the parts store early to pick up parts for my computer job. One courier would always sidle up and drop a large amount of flatulence that was putrid so I put a small tin full of Dynamic Lifter under his drivers seat. It took him a week to work out there was a bad smell and find the tin:D

I did my apprenticeship as a sparky. There was one objectionable bloke who would come into our area and peruse the Playboy mags. We set up an ignition coil and remote switch and slightly dampened the magazines. We gave him a few jolts and when he asked we perused the magazine and told him it must be his static. :) He went away:D

Once used in the copier, toner is fused to paper as a water insoluble polymer matrix, causing very low public and occupational exposure.

Which is good news as I was exposed to more than my fair share of the stuff in the late 80s working as a photocopier fixer.
