Trick I used to do years ago - and that probably cause I haven't been in a series LR for around 20 years.

Place your foot against the transfer lever wait until they are on a floating throttle and just slip it into neutral.

Dont realise it until they need a bit of power and then its all come to a stop to re-engage. 8O

(just thinking it would still work in a Defender)

A really nasty one I heard of was to run someones winch cable over their roof and attach to the tow bar. Hot wire the winch and stand back.

A good winch should be able to do a lot of damage.

Going back more years than I care to admit to... A "friend" went through a stage of miscellaneous practical jokes.... similar to the hub cap stones etc...

There were 3 that he pulled on me on seperate occassions that were effective enough that I remeber them 20+ years on..

    1. One drop of sewing machine oil....... carefully place on the contacts of the points ... can take some time for the amature mechanic to find! :?

    2. Grey lead pencil.... Lines drawn down the outside of Spark Plugs or around various point inside the Dissy cap.... very frustrating Misfire issues! 8O

    3. We were working at a job picking Tomatoes.... we parked in the padock next door. The were lots of dried Cow pats lying around...
I came back to my car to find one sitting on the dash.... threw it out and sthought Haha...end of story..

...... spent over a week driving round wondering when the smell would go....Then I founds the other on on the rear parcel shelf .......

.. what can I say I was young. ops: ... I'm older ... and wiser now. ...I am... I really am...

I like these cause they caused suitable grief....... but did somewhat less real damage than the winch cable over the roof trick...

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most

Bloke I know placed a half inflated "blow up rubber sex doll" in a fruit bag. And put in the boot of the car of 2 male friends driving across the Nulabour. When they got to the Fruit fly check point, the lady doing the check spotted the bag pulled it out and found the bedraggelled doll. Both blokes went awfuly pink, and had no way of exlpaining the dolls presence that sounded plausable. They knew straight away who had set them up, yet had to deal with the disgusting looks from the border guards all by themselfs,

the old sugar inside the fuel tank - dont need a huge amount.

Once it works its way to the engine it caramelises inside the cylinders.

i like filling the air vents with talcum powder and turning the fans on full.

    nothing happens........................................... ..................................

until someone turns on the ignition switch !!

    POOF!!

    they then instantly disappear
only to reappear as a ghost.

that stuff is worse to remove than bulldust...

There are two types of people in this world, good and bad. The good sleep better, but the bad seem to enjoy the waking hours

Not a nice thing to do to somebody

How to slow down P****e XU-1 Toranas in years gone by, or anything with a non lockable tankcap, break one raw egg into abovesaid tank per day, vehicle eventually slows as eggs cook in fuel lines and carb

girlfriend's unwanted admirer eventually got the hint
