Wow, I went off! People are right they says its your choice, do with it as you will.

Talk to Matt Derrig at KLR Automotive, he did his apprenticeship with Toyota and give you real information.

I'll shut up now. ops:

No Damo, what you said was spot on. Oh i sent you a PM to damo, got the prices for the DVD's you were after.

Oh i forgot redback. Dont ever think that Toyo parts are cheap, they may be cheaper than space shuttle parts but thats it. You have to remember that all factory parts are expensive, it doesnt matter what you buy. What you save on one part you will lose on anther, it all balances out. If you got the disco and shopped smart, as you did with the parts for the explorer, parts wont cost more than they should. Take my steering box for example. I got quotes on new ones, the prices ranged from $1700 all the way down to $750 for a brand new one. It where you get them from which affects the price. Toyo parts are just as expensive, dont be fooled.

Well GUYS
The response hase been overwealming. Nothing that has been said has convinced me.
If you are so fond of your Landrover I would have thought that there would have been an offer to take one for a small spin around the block.

You would be welcome to drive mine Kerry but its not the model you are after, so the drive will be somewhat different.

But please dont buy a cruiser, the disco is a far better vehicle. Matt

Perhaps you should hire a tojo similar to what you want, then arrange a local AULRO outing, making sure there are all of the types of LANDY Redback wants.
Then when out in the bush, you trade rides. You get to sample all the landy products, the AULRO guys get to punish a hire tojo/bog it etc.
Unfortunately you are too far away to join in,it would be quite an outing
