Anything is better than those horrible green 'Defender' on the 200 & 300 TDi.
    What green Defender thingies.
If you mean the diagonal stripe things down the door - nothing wrong with them, And mine are grey, not green.[/b][/quote]

it think the old Countys's and first defenders had the green Defenders

I very much doubt the Old County's had the green "Defender" decals. :?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

G'day Kev -- happy New Year!

Thanks for that information, it is a concise description of the Aussie 110.

Quick question which rmp may be able to help with. How do we explain the odd Xtreme with black wheel arches, as per rmp's? 8O

The 90 is also a bit interesting because they did whack the Xtreme stickers on some which had colour-coded arches. They now appear to have dropped the Xtreme sticker and gone back to the black arches :?

" How come it has black wheel flares ?? "
This is very unnusual for an Australian import of this model of Defender Xtreme .
Robert may have done some more research on the subject - so maybe he can enlighten all of us ???

    Cheer's ,

Are they genuine, or aftermarket fittments, was the fender brand new when he bought it? Matt

The Defender was brand new, bought in April 2004. It came with black wheel arches, which I don't mind. It also came with Xtreme stickers, which I did mind and removed, intending to mail them to Vlad for use on his Rdinary Defender, but unfortunately they didn't surive the removal.

    The Xtreme Defender has:

    - ABS
    - Traction control
    - Electric windows
    - CD player
    - 4 speakers
    - remote locking
    - alarm
    - stay-on interior light
    - winch-capable steel bullbar
    - aircon
    - satnav
    - snorkel
    - auto-opening fuel filler
    - mudguards
    - towbar
    - factory-chipped TD5 producing the same torque/power as Discovery
    - interior carpet
    - soundproofing
    - fully adjustable steering wheel
    - electrically adjustable seats with heating and cooling
    - six-speed gearbox
    - automatic transmission option
    - electrically operating mirrors
    - no leaks
    - has a convertible option
    - Xtreme stickers, 3 of.
and comes with a remote-controlled 1/8 scale D90 for even more fun.

Mine came with the xtreme sticker, and with black wheel arches. I think most of the '04 defenders have black ones. They even changed the pic of the yellow 90 on the back of 4x4 Australia from one with colour coded arches to one with black ones.
