No need to worry, the Australian Electoral System has seen fit to put Clive Palmer and Co in the drivers seat. I feel much better knowing that there is always a well meaning minority party in place to stop the big bad government from doing what the majority of the nation elected them to do

the political party that had a majority was one called Labor.

none of the others can stand on their own.....

No child will live in poverty
There will be no Carbon Tax under a government I lead

They are all as bad as one another so not's let Lib v Lab argument spoil a good post

While ever we have an electoral system that allows a person to have a say in Parliament with 0.5 of the vote we all be able to sleep better at night

Ramblingboy for dumb people like me can you explain how your comment works.

If Labour had the majority I would have thought they would have gotten re-elected.

He's implying that the Liberal Nat coalition only has the numbers through a coalition. Which is true.

The Labour party has to do a similar thing with greens and independents.

Its life in the modern political arena where everyone fights over the middle ground and the people think they have a choice, but its only between one set of lawyers and another slightly different set of lawyers. The days when politicians were representatives are long gone. We live in an oligarchy.
