It seems Ferrari and Redbull are closing the gap on Mercedes as the season progresses, Not sure if you saw the special on Daniel Ricciado on the 'Sunday night' program on channel seven, but what a very down to earth bloke. It seems the fame and fortune has not inflated his head like some of the other tools on the grid. I cant be the only one who thinks Lewis Hamilton is always having a whinge on the team radio and constantly second-guessing his race engineer. In Singapore he was asking if his rear tyres were going to explode, for **** sake, and at Belgium after the love tap with Rosberg he wanted to get his bat and ball and go home. In regards to Japan i can only hope Dan has a good car and has a clean race.

I may be biased but he is making Vettel look like very average driver at the moment. Whats your take on Jenson Button at the moment,do you think his seat is safe? I feel for him,it seems he has not got a good car at the moment.

Not sure about Button, for some reason I don't actually pay attention to him.
(not Intentional, just don't??) As for Hamilton, I can't work out what is going on with him lately. He used to be very smooth and quietly cool, but as you say, last time in Singapore, I think it was about five times, he refereed to rear tyres about to blow up???
I think since the love tap you mentioned, he seems to have lost it a bit.
Didn't see the Ricciardo special. I saw the ads for it and meant to watch, but I forgot. Actually, I think Dr Who was on!
Agree, Vettel has been looking very ordinary lately.

If Danny Ric had a merc engine in the back of his RB he would have wrapped up the title by now,Dan along with Bottas and Alonso are the standouts this year.Vettel is know where,Rosberg is a borderline cheat and Hamilton spends too much time in front of a mirror. Pat

    Finally another real track...

Ricciardo has the bull by the horns at the moment and will get the best out a well handling RB. Unfortunately you also need power here. Good to see Vettel drive a real car too shows his ability.. (can o worms)

Likely two horse race, but the rest with be entertaining we hope...

If dry Bottas and Perez will be the likely entertainers though well separated on the track. Kimi may wake up and be sorted too....

Very well put. "Bull by the horns", yes, but as you say, need power. Or straight line speed. The main straight ain't real short.

Should be a wet race too, there is a typhoon south of the track. This should bring the field back together a bit. Hopefully it is run as planned and not behind a safety car because it is too wet.

Not sure on everyones perspective, but I do love a wet race. Oversteer and power slides, what F1 is missing these days.

As for Button, he is driving quiet well as usual, though in a car that is not of Mclaren standards. If it is wet he will do very well for the car, he is extremely smooth in these conditions. Magnussen is quick over a lap but a bit rough still over the race, Jenson is still on top there.

As for Vettel he can be a quick driver, only when he has the car his way and designed around him. I know people will say look at others especially Schumacher for the same reasons, but he still could drive around the cars abilities. Let's hope Ricciardo does not suffer the same fate as Webber, allowed to shine for one year and then reined in to let Vettel get what he wants and what car he wants.

Yep, Chucuro (Arthur) put a post up about that today.
He (Vettel) would suit Ferrari better.
He kinda reminds me of a junior Schumacher. (little bit arrogant, in that special German way) Anyway, its a good chance for other 'juniors' to come to the pointy end of the field and get noticed.

Many are saying this might be the last season for Jenson button. With no other of the top teams having an opening coming up that might be the end for him, which i think is a bloody shame.
