I stopped buying 4WD Monthly years ago. Too much sameness month to month in the articles. I'd stopped reading Rooth (in that mag) because writing was, it seemed, aimed at under 20yo. readers. Actually, I think the whole mag was aimed at that demographic - much like Hot Fours and Rotaries, et al.

At least his writing in 2wheels was better.

Gotta agree Wayne.........Pat Cullen is over the top but on the other side of the equation, he could be a better face for unlock Australia.....

I'm guessing unlock Australia is all volunteer work

Smile Anyone heard of or seen Roothy's Low Range dvd?

    Hey Guys, Low Range dvd...
Wow what a Cracker of a dvd..has to be the best value for money dvd I have seen!
The dvd is top Movie Quality..also the scenery is just perfect!..it really feels like you are there..

I also really enjoyed the style of the dvd, more of a Documtery style to it, with more info on where they were going to and where they visited/stayed.

Also I noticed the dvd also had a much freer flowing style to it..Roothy,Gleno, Kenno had lots more to talk about and more chance of speaking freely..lots of good humor in it too!

The dvd has plenty of top quality 4wding too..Loved that Discovery 4..I think they are a great looking 4wd!

Also loved the comparison between the Disco 4 and the Milo..Roothy and Gleno are a laugh!
It just seemed to be more enjoyable to watch then the more scripted 4wd action dvd's

[been watching them since 4wd monthly changed over to 4wd action]

At least he trying to do something about unlocking the bush so our kids can see more of this awesome country. Instead of supporting his cause it seems easier to sit back and knock him I don't see MR 4X4 doing anything more than collecting his Nissan sponsorship dollars.

Who else is doing anything to unlock the bush? You and everyone else that is so content to hang **** on his efforts, what are you blokes doing about it? Yeah,he did some stupid things but who hasn't. I bet all that knock him would be more than happy to drive on the tracks he is fighting for. Very easy to sit back and call him a dickhead or whatever else,it's a lot harder to stand up and do something that will benefit all of us.

    Just my opinion
Wow! I did't know that! I have been reading his articles in 4wd Monthly/4wd action for 10+ years..
