    Attention farmers

It has came to my attention that there is a considerable amount of people on this site that are either farmers, related to farmers or work on the land.
In these hard times with the economy and the drought I see a lot of my mates that are farmers struggling day to day.
With the increasing number of feral pests and the decreasing amounts of crops and feed the ferals are becoming a concern.with the increasing numbers of scumbags participating in the hunting scene it is becoming very difficult for a thing called trust.

I'd like to offer to those who need any feral pigs, foxes or dogs eradicated my services.
    Information:
I have a full time job (not a dole bludger)
I have my own vehicle that is kitted out for remote areas
I mainly specialise in feral pig eradication by using hunting dogs (main dog is a pure working kelpie used to locate feral pigs in virtually any terrain)
    Dogs are stock proof
Latest updated gps tracking equipment for each individual dog and myself
Protective gear for each dog so there's a lower risk of injury to the dog
4wd quad for those places that need a considerable amount of land covered
I do have an ABN and registered buisness however for these services I do not charge
    No smoking,drugs or alcohol
Only family members assist no mates of a mate buisness
    Mid weeks are suitable
Anywhere in NSW or south queensland

I used to shoot but retired my firearms as it it more and more difficult to find places to hunt.
Farmers could make money out of the situation by charging shooters to hunt. Turning a bad situation into a money making situation perhaps

Yep its a very difficult situation these days...I'm only young compared to most on here however been brought up to do the right thing (same as yourself by the sounds of it) by my grandfather and old boy who have always been shooters however I went down the hunting dog path which it is unbelievable how disrespectful and ungrateful others can be out around the Tottenham, warren, carinda way it is pretty bad out that way for fence cutting its a joke...for example I was heading away to a property up the mountains one arvo on the way up I passed a paddock with a mob of pigs reasonably close to the road rather then pulling up letting the dogs out and causing a heap of grief I drove kilometers past them to the homestead and asked if it was ok to go catch them pigs that were down rooting up his paddock ? The response was "nope I don't want u pig chasing kind around here all yous do is cut fences and steal stuff" I was a little offended by the response I received and it showed how bad a name the sport or hobby has gotten itself...
It is frustrating to think that these "scum" goto the trouble of stealing diesel, pumps, bikes and goodness knows what else when all they have to do is pull there finger out and get a bloody job and ya wouldn't need to take $50 worth of diesel and use $60 worth of diesel to get there...

There are "scumbags" in all activities, not just hunting. Yes they give ethical and intelligent hunters a bad name but there are clearly two types, the invited and uninvited. The latter are clearly selfish and ruin the reputation and efforts of the first.

Good luck and thanks to all ethical law abiding hunters, I'm in this category and respect the land owner's wishes at ALL times.

I think programs like this SSAA Farmer Assist Program | SSAA Farmer Assist & Sharp Shooters - Landline - ABC are definitely a part of the future solution.

I'll be certified hopefully early in the new year.

Good luck with what you wish. Being brought up on sheep & cattle properties, Central Qld, in the late 50's, I say this. You would be regarded as a cowboy, & not allowed any where near the property. Just my thoughts. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

We used to have a sign on the roadside gates of the farm "Trespassers will be shot". Sometimes its a pity u can't actually carry out that threat.. It'd sort the problem out pretty quickly!!!
