    ECHO not what I expected

I was up for a day trip in the Vic High Country. At a look out point, my nephew called out "I bought a Land Rover! " mimicking the "I bought a Jeep" TV ad.
The response he got was some thing unexpected.
It came back as "You bloody idiot!"

Spent a couple of days on an island ,lately, on the beach, at the approach to the beach, a Toyota, obviously driven by an inexperienced driver, blocked the way for everyone else. Contrary to what we read about the 4WD community, no one approached to help. A line of about 15 vehicles just waited for something to happen. Encouraged by my bolshie brother, we, in our D2, drove around the watching crowd. I would like to say this would end in a happy time, but the driver of the Toyota , when asked, turned his nose up at an offer of help. This then bought on a chorus of " oh what a feeling. " from my sons in the back. We moved on, made our own track, and those waiting followed us. Land Rover led the way again. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Anyone who would refuse help just because they didn't want their Toyota rescued by a Landy is obviously a complete fool and you did the right thing to leave him behind.

The trouble is there is always some one with a camera waiting. He probably didn't want the stigma on the internet of a photo of him being rescued by the inferior Land Rover.

So he'd rather sit there stuck holding up a line of traffic. Obviously a total tool.
