    Thumbs down Transmission GONE.... AGAIN!

After going back to Shepparton 3 times with my car since a total transmission rebuild about 7 weeks agoand complaining about an intermittent 'lag' when restarting after about30 minutes or more of driving. Having been basically told that it was all in my imagination and that the car was fine and "Ready for any trip I have planned" I was heading home on Thursday night and suddenly I have no drive, and a lot of not so nice noises. At this stage I had driven 240km since the big assurance.

Got towed home by RACV then again on Friday morning to a mate of the guy who did the rebuild in who's business is in Croydon.

It appears that the forward clutch has seized and this in turn has meant that the reverse clutch has been engaging at the same time. Apparently there is some drive when the car is in NEUTRAL!

Anyway, this very unhappy camper made his thoughts very well known during Friday and they are transporting the car back to Shepp on Monday.

All I can say is that they better bloody well get it right THIS time! And perhaps..... just perhaps, they will listen to the customer a little more next time.

    Ouch!
    Sounds decidedly not good.
Here's hoping they sort it out.

That would be very frustrating, as I have had good service from the guys in Shep you have been dealing with I hope they can get it sorted for you.
How many K's since they rebuilt it? It must still be under warranty?

    That has to hurt,

I'm assuming they are coving it under warranty...... but that doesn't help you with all the time and inconvenience caused...

    I fully understand your frustration.

    Good luck.

Might catch up for that beer yet. What a pain in the arse though. Might be done under warranty but a huge inconvenience.

Are they paying the cost to get it to Shepp?
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Bugger - no good mate. You right for a vehicle while they sort it? All I can offer is a Vectra, but it's yours if you need it while the D2 is getting sorted.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
