For what it's worth.................
I put a set 245 75 16 GY MTR's on the Disco for the High Country trip I have just completed.
On the bitumen we experienced wet and dry, they have impressive grip but do make a little noise which I don't find a problem.
On the gravel , same thing very good grip.
On hill climbing, we took the disco up some very steep hills towing the camper which is weighty ( up on to the Wombat Ridge track was one) and  without traction control, the tyres did scrabble for grip on occasions but always got it.
Wearwise I would say they did show signs after 9000K's and the rock climbing and King Billy track chopped them around a bit.
For a compromise of trip tyres for difficult conditions in mud and rock climbing I am happy with the choice
