The old man had a set of Wrangler A/T's on his last series three. We did a heck of a lot of kays on those. When he went to 10.5 desert duelers he gave them to me and I put them on my series 2. Excellent compromise for a daily driver that saw some pretty heavy off road work over a diverse range of terrain.

I am puzzled by the BFG AT toe-in comment.

I've had mine for 60,000 km and know others who are on their second set.

Never been an issue.

I thought that was odd to OI, i have never had a set on anything, but i have never heard a bad word said against them. Matt

Really?

The old ones were good, but as soon as the KO's were brought out all went down hill. We had 4 flats on a car in out convoy over 400km of dirt roads in a day. All BFGs.

Replaced all tyres at next town

For what it's worth.................

I put a set 245 75 16 GY MTR's on the Disco for the High Country trip I have just completed.

On the bitumen we experienced wet and dry, they have impressive grip but do make a little noise which I don't find a problem.

On the gravel , same thing very good grip.

On hill climbing, we took the disco up some very steep hills towing the camper which is weighty ( up on to the Wombat Ridge track was one) and without traction control, the tyres did scrabble for grip on occasions but always got it.

Wearwise I would say they did show signs after 9000K's and the rock climbing and King Billy track chopped them around a bit.

For a compromise of trip tyres for difficult conditions in mud and rock climbing I am happy with the choice

Hope this helps MK

So perhaps biased toward vehicles that spend a bit of time offroad as well as road use - like my Defender.

and perhaps the AT's would be a better choice for the Rangie.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
