looks promising imho

Why don't they sell more,you know,not made for Oz,can't get parts,really exxy to service,my mates brothers cousin new a bloke down the pub ZZZZZZzzzzzz. Pat

The Forester can't make it up the same steep trails that an FL2 does quite easily. The diesel XTrail has some low grunt that lets it get up a good steep slope but it has smaller wheels than an FL2, (as does the Forester), so hits its belly more often.

I regularly towed 1.5 to 2 tonnes with my FL1. Been a bloody good car, and still nice to drive. Low range and more clearance is what we have the Disco for.

The Mazda is the biggest selling in this segment and is outselling Prado and Grand Cherokee. Without being Land Rover biased I would have thought the Freelander would be a better car than the ones mentioned above.

It may have changed, but 4X4 Australia only judge new vehicles ( new release in that year)
Thats the way it always was on their main 4X4 of the year contest anyway.

The reason that I stopped buying 4X4 Aust was that it pushed it sponsors Asian products to the detriment of European makes.:(
