Thanks for the replies guys. How this came up was with a mildly hail damaged X-Trail for 15k reduced to 9K. The hail damage was hard to see but all over the car.

I didn't proceed with the car for other reasons, mainly that the speedo said 78,000k but the interior screamed 378,000k.

I didn't think you could wind back electronic speedos.
