    As an ag teacher i make a good post whore.

    Using rusty metal around the base of fruit trees works a treat, if you have any old scabby bits of galvanised chain, cut it up, soak it in Hydrochloric Acid over night and, rinse it and spread the bits of links around the base of the fruit trees. As the links rust away it acts like slow release fertiliser. Matt
