    The Wave

I've owned a Discovery 1 for a few years, and I've quite enjoyed "The Wave" with other D1/D2, and owners of older Defenders.

Having purchased a Range Rover P38a a while ago, I find that only P38a owners are returning the wave. Gone are all the friendly Disco owners, and the wave from the older Defenders.

Fair enough, I thought, and have been waving at Range Rover owners, but after months of waving, I'm yet to receive one in return.

Tell you what, I'm very keen to get my D1 back on the road, or get a D2, as there was much more comeraderie.

I reckon when I wave at other Discos about 1 in 25 respond. These are usually the ones that look like that they go off road.

Most of the ones I wave to I think don't even relate to the fact that the oncoming car is the same or similar to theirs.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

I must say that I don't look for what make of car is coming at me anymore as I am too busy watching for bad drivers these days .
In the early days in the Pilbara nearly every driver you passed would wave , but not much anymore , bit of a pity but society is not what it used to be .

Queenslanders smile a lot more. Here in Sydney smiling is a little harder.

I spend on average a month a year in Queensland, usually around December/January, and I love the people up there.
