    The modern kids Christmas

I think this photo of my grandchildren, taken on Christmas day may be all too typical of the Christmas experience today!

It is not only the kids - my 50 yo sister in law is the same - quite anti-social.

That describes our household. We arent very social but do appreciate those that are our friends , but not with facebook. Christmas day we played some records , presents for me and read for most of the day.New years we would like to go see some bands but refuse to get into the hyped up mentality of the New Years Eve "gotta be out andcelebrating". There are 364 other days to be part of life too.

That photo looked just like SWMBO and the daughter at our place John.

But I can honestly say ..................... the young bloke and I were out the back yard tinkering with his Land Rover.
    Cheers .........

Doesn't happen at our place and if it did I would be kicking some arses. We would not allow it.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

    I'm impressed!

None of those kids are out getting wasted and crashing into trees at warp speed. They're busily forming networks of like minded friends who will be an integral part of their future lives. When I was 15 all I had was books and TV to escape reality. I envy the modern kids their freedom to communicate in ever increasing ways. Now back to my goofing off on aulro...
