Yep, another americanised sport. As I describe it to my US born family, T20 is the junk food of the cricket world, whereas test matches are a 12 course chinese banquet.

Got to say, it was MORE disappointing that I thought it would be. I was thinking a bit of hit & giggle, I could live with that, but holy ****! WTF are they on???

Between the bull**** music blasting out and the cuts to the commentary team between every ball, I couldn't make head nor arsehole of the whole affair.

Roll on the Sydney test - TEST CRICKET RULES!!! I can live with one day matches, but geez, this 20/20 crap is just a farce.....

Anyone who likes this **** need a bullet... Sorry about that - I tried, but as they say 'It just ain't cricket'.
I think your being polite here. I was given a ticket to the 'Gabba, last year , to watch a T20 & it was the worst experience I've had ( & I went to a Sherbert concert with a young lady in the early '70's). Noise, noise, noise, people "dancing" in a boxing ring, flame throwers. I couldn't even talk to my BIL beside me for the noise.
Test cricket I love. I reckon it's the 2nd most tactical game played, after chess.
Thanks for making me realise that I'm not the only T20 hater.

Jeezs, is T 20 that bad?
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Test cricket on TV, with the ABC commentary. That would work. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Big cricket fan. I umpired for 6 years as a teenager and early twenties. Sadly my enthusiasm for the game didn't result in any real talent so I umpired instead. Always watch the test matches and a lot of the one dayers but can't really take to T20.

We went to the first T20 game at the WACA which was WA v Victoria and thoroughly enjoyed it. For me it's the commentators both for the Big Bash and the internationals. I don't like hearing footy commentators trying to talk up the play and its bad enough having Brayshaw during the tests let alone listening to him carrying on in a T20.

And we could go back to the days of having a camera at one end only.

You beat me to it. Like chess, test cricket is a game of tactics. I like watching test cricket and the one day variety. But that 20/20 stuff is just crap. I like to play chess also, but not too clever at it. Thinking two or three moves ahead takes some skill.

I reckon we need a forum for cricket.

It's not real cricket - it's more like tiperty run that you used to play in grade 6... It requires about the same amount of tactical skill as well...
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
