Thread: This Doesn't Work For Me - CYA

Because of all the crap on this forum and its move away from Landrover, 4wd and Camping issues to all other things I did not renew my subscription last year as a protest as at the time no one in the management seemed to be listening.

Now since then there have been a couple of improvements like moving starting a closed CA section but the system still allowed the nutters to post their crap in the main areas.

I appreciated that the new system was being activated today but I did expect as a now non subscriber to have access to the basic forum pages but none of the trimmings. Who knows I might have liked the new arrangement and if I thought the forum provided value start subscribing again.

Alas that is not to be the case - though not advertised in the features for non subscribers I cannot access new threads, I cannot access "forum areas" and even cannot access individual threads in the D3/D4/RRS - says I don't have the privileges. I cannot even email admin so hence the message here.

The 101 club did some similar a few years back and I have never been back and that was their loss not mine.

So after nearly 10 years here I am off.

Inc - you have my personal email, if you ease the restrictions let me know - I think you have strangled the forum just a bit too much - to the point it no longer works at all.

I am one that would usually agree not having to pay for access but for the pittance of $11 (or $27.50 that i did) i am happy for the resources, knowledge base and friends that i have made over my time here so think that for less than a couple of drinks its worth it.
Garry, just looking at your signature tells me you can afford it.
