Bad luck about the water pump.... but nice to know there are still people around that understand great customer service..
Good luck getting it sorted...
Hottest day of summer so far and the water pump in the evap cooler ****s itself, of course all the parts places are still closed.
Luckily found one on ebay but they were about to close shop for the day, i tell the guy i cant make it there in time due to distance and he says i live close to you so you can collect from my house.
There are still some good people about.

Its a 2 minute job for the replacement, old pump is out on the bench ready to be a guinea pig.

Sounds like you have it sorted.
But if you ever get caught out with a failed pump and can't get hold of a replacement, simply bypass it. Easy to make a fitting that goes between a garden hose and the pump outlet (wouldn't be the first time I've done this to get out of trouble).
Then just adjust the flow through the garden hose to minimize the overflow from the unit.
These days though, I keep a spare pump and fan motor in the shed. Cheap insurance.
I see on the news that you're about to cop some of the same weather that we've been getting since Christmas. Hope all goes well.
Cheers .........
