    NSW rippes me off again!!!!

This state takes the cake and charges for it also, for being
hit in the hip pocket department.

    my rant.
anywhere in QLD the most you pay for electricity deposit is/was $80.00.
now today i got my first bill from E.A. $200 bloody dollars for security
deposit!!!!!!!! you have gor to be kidding!!!!!!!!! considering when i rang
them up to ask where the hell my bill was, i was told that you dont
exist and neither does your home!!!!

thats what you get for being honest!

i think im better now. 8O

I reckon if you can show you own the house, rather than are renting it, there should not be a bloody security deposit.

After all, if you don't pay:
    1. They are going to cut you off anyway, and
    2. They shouldn't have any trouble tracking you down.

I pay for what I use but have never been asked for a deposit before conection.
There are two types of people in this world, good and bad. The good sleep better, but the bad seem to enjoy the waking hours

They make you do it here, in case you dont pay your first bill. Once you have paid it, you never have to pay it again. Even if you disconnect and then reconnect 6 months later. Matt

There is a way around it DW.

I was asked for the same deposit when I moved back from SA.

If you have them auto deduct it from your bank account or credit card you get to keep your $200. they send you the bill before they deduct it from your account, From memory you get 3 weeks notice before it comes out, time to save it I guess.

Jason, i was thinking of doing that.
this is what i had in mind.
avoid the $200 by paying the first bill by auto deduct,
get that one out of the way then cancell the auto deduct and
go back to paying the bill as they come in???
    would that work i wonder???

    :?:
