    Thats ecactly what i mean. LR could have sold heaps of those world wide, but they didnt even bother to make that many of them. Why the hell not make a limited run of 1000 and send them to Aus. The resale would be great. Matt

    Les must have realised that there was an arrogance with Jeep and Land Rover. He filled the gap and Toyota is still here and we now fight for position.

    LRA may do better if they had a few in house who actually drove and competed off road (and real off road not stuff where a Tribute will go. My daughter says the tribute is very gay).

    But what's a serious off roader when its delivered new with low profile road tyres?

    LR however are not the only ones to miss the marketing boat. I see the BMW X5 has done brilliantly in the last two Dakars, (and these were stock I believe, not specials/experimentals like the so called Pajeros, harrumph). But BMW doesn't wave the X5 flag either. (Does it use a space saver?, like the Kentucky Benz ML).

    Times have changed and so did consumers. We are a minority group who are actually aware and base our purchasing decisions on a vehicles offroad prowess. Most people don't give a rats bum ... styling, luxury features, seating for 20 children ... that is what the majority want so I would say chances are you'll get Delta Goodrem to sell you more vehicles then a modern Les Hiddens.
