Best Camp Chairs

Hi Everyone

I am about to retire our old 'director' style aluminimum camp chairs which continue to serve us really well for something that takes up less space, but are hopefully as strong.

What are people using? best makes and designs.

I saw one recenlty made by Oztent which looked well made and comfy.

Priorities:

- Strength & durability
- Comfort
- Size

Thanks

hmm
Mrs Pedro and I have fought with camping chairs for years,,
all the nice comfy ones take up too much space,
and the "easy to pack" chairs are only suitable for unwanted guests!!!

about the only structural prerequisite, is NO bar under the knees/legs.

There are LOTS to choose from.

That is exactly my dliemma. Use to have the 130 and space was not an issue. It is still not a huge issue with the 110, but the old chairs are just too bulky.

We ended up with the type that are padded and fold flat, they are quite comfortable and have a higher back which I like although a bit bulky to pack but I have yet to find one that folds into a small bundle that I find comfortable

I'll have a look when I get home, but my guess is that as they came from Bunnings and Ranger Camping and are probably made in China there will be no brand.

stick to them...they weigh bugger all and are some of the more comfortable chairs on the market.
the ones that fold up into a long bag that are really popular are uncomfortable to sit as the arms that fold out to support the seat base dig into your legs under the knees.....
i thought it might have just been because of my size but ol chicken legs has the same problem therefore it must be a design flaw.

you also got roofracks and iggy to carry them around for you...

Hmmmm....now you have stuffed me Zook!!!

The ones we have are very comfy and strong. The only problem is that they are quite awkward to pack and are bulky. I might resort to packing one handy for Ms Noddy and having the other one less accessable (only get out when we are staying in one place for a bit of time).

Can use a milk crate and cushion!!
