even though for the last 12 months its been both ways full time?

the 'driverless' bus isnt driverless but guided, called the OBAHN it is in fact the longest operational OBAHN in the world. It may be beaten one day though as BHP had plans for a single mans camp towards ANDAMOOKA and planned a looped obahn system to travel to and from mine (less traffic on road, less carparking etc etc... part of the proposal was allegedly that every month or so theyd reverse the way the busses travel to even the wear and tear!

First driverless car trials in Southern Hemisphere to be held in Adelaide, coinciding with international conference - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

They are having to change the road rules to accommodate the driverless cars. I wonder which rules are changing.
"One of the biggest challenges is to convince Australian drivers to let go of the wheel."
I'll let go of the wheel wheel the guarantee ant accident caused by the car is 100% not my fault and guarantee who's fault it is and guarantee adequate compensation from the responsible parties.

This is the obahn busway.. it is impressive when on the go.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sout...outh_Australia)

This is the southern expressway previously the longest reversable freeway in the world.

As for the driverless cars the responsibility still will restwith the person behind the wheel...even if they arent actually driving!

My uncle used to drive the buses on the O-Bahn.
I have traveled the southern expressway often.

They pale into insignificance when you introduce the injustice of making a passenger responsible for the errors made by the programmers of the autonomous car.

You do realise there would have been pilot-less aircraft flying passengers for years...

It was only the resistance of the public to being in a plane without a guy up front which put paid to it...

    Now, here's a question.
They are autonomous vehicles. Do you need a license to passenger in one?

Opens a whole can of worms, don't it.

No more double parking. You want to stop to grab some cash from the ATM, just put your car into a holding pattern circling the block.

Cash? ATM? What is the meaning of these terms? Sounds like some late 20th century argot.

I can see kids sending their driverless cars out to pick up their Maccas order while they remain couch bound though.

Nah, drones will drop big macs into their fat gobs, and whilst they are confined to their homes they will be happily connected to the holoweb; gaining virtual fulfilment. So the driverless car better hurry up before it's made redundant!
