A cat 5 blow has to be taken seriously no matter where it is. Such a system can have catastrophic results south of Bundy. SEQ structures do not have to comply with the cyclone ratings of the north. Also, the southern side of a cyclone is the most destructive.
The most recent cyclones I have survived are Larry and Yasi.

it great when the bom admit this cyclone is impossible.

Intensity is analysed at 85 knots 10 minute mean [T5.0], breaking Dvorak
    constraints.

The Oz cyclone chasers are normally close to the mark. I have followed them for some time, I guess I don't want it to be true this time. Thanks for that, Eevo. Interesting times ahead. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

Weather radar shows it getting heavier on the Sunshine Coast.
This is one of those times when I'm glad I chose a carport which is Cairns rather than Brisbane cyclone rated.
    Stay safe people.

I'll have to upgrade something as I can't get sound on this forum ergo, not hear! All I can do is read (and understand most of the relevant context)
