I'm on the Sunshine Coast at Kawana Waters - Just lot's of rain and a bit blowy at the moment. There's a few road closures mainly in the hinterland.

Well we missed the bullet in the Mackay - Sarina area and it is now expected to cross in the Shoalwater area. Had a little rain and some reasonably strong winds last night. To all those in the area from Gladstone to Shoalwater and even further north to Carmila - keep safe. We are thinking of you. Still amazes me how rapidly Marcia escalated from a Cat 1 to Cat 5. I got home from out west about 1800 yesterday and spent about an hour doing a last minute clean up before dark. Can relax now and get back to normal. Thanks to everyone who sent their regards.
    Cheers......Brian

We're picking up a camper trailer from kiwana waters in 5 weeks.

The radar shows the eye crossing the coast now.

Wishing all in its path the very best; stay safe.

Daughter says its very windy and raining steadily in Maleny, and a tree is down. Going to get worse, I think.
Feel for people further north who are copping it now.
