    G'day Bearman

Yup! grew up in Brisbane in the 50/60's and have been through a couple of blows, living semi-rural now,so my main worry now is fallen trees, the property drains off into the main farm dam so while it maybe a little squishy under foot it will drain away,we have a 3.5metre layer of clay 1 metre below grass level, so it just fills up like a sponge.

TV news said the heaviest rain on the Sunshine Coast was at Beerburrum.

Noticed the maintenance guys here at work have started sandbagging the central car park so it doesn't flood the administration building. Might be a sign of what they expect to happen.

I was going to bring the Defender to work today but then remembered it is leaking into the front passenger footwell. Apparently this is pretty normal.

I see its now moving faster at 20km/h and the winds are up to 285 km/h. Look out Yeppoon!

Yea mate I know. I spent a fair bit of my younger life wandering the Tropics.
My main problem is that because we haven't had much rain recently, we haven't much grass on the property & being rather hilly, I'm watching good topsoil wash into the dam & gullies.
