I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

One would hope so considering the frequency of Brisbane's inundation.

I had fun on the ride-on on Sunday arvo at Maleny, after a sunny morning. Mind you, I had the blades set at the highest level, just to trim it without digging holes.

Of course the readings would be better than a few years ago, I mean really,it's not under water!
Unless councils and the state govt ( both Qld and Nsw )either massively enlarge the system or buyback all those old homes that are low lying, below the 1:10 or 1:25 year flood levels it will happen again. Throw in different state govt's with different agendas to the local councils and its a recipe for mess.
Locally there is a development that both councils objected to on flood concerns for established burbs, but the state govt overruled them and approved it.
The same would apply in sydney and Brisbane as higher burbs increase flow to lower lying older areas, meaning once the first x number of low lying properties loos ,or even backyard breather pipes that are open, broken or cracked go under the sewer system gets flushed, into your creek.
It's not about hating, just reality.
As evo just showed , some don't know the difference, he's smart enough to ask, others doing home reno's on the cheap themselves (as is the current trend)may not ask or care.

P.s bob post 28's quote is from Bundaberg not brisbane.
