Yay, ................................. that's the one.
Here's the sign at the turn off, a very well laid out rodeo, camp draft, gymkhana venue.
Here's a link to a recent ABC report.

Hi,
A bit of history with this one.
A long time ago.......
It was built like this.
By men like this.
Today......
It will all burn in the next fire.
Some hints.....
It is at a greater Latitude than 40 South, and a greater Longitude than 144 East.
i.e. it is in Tasmania.
I will narrow the coordinates with every few replies.
Have fun.
Derby area of NE Tasmania - Part of the Trail of the Tin Dragon - Chinese immigrants originally flocked to Tasmania's east in search of gold but instead discovered the land was plentiful in tin. They busied themselves building a 48km long race to direct water to the mining sites in Derby and a dam on the Cascade River, directly over Derby, to maintain the necessary water supply to run their mines.
Known as the Great Briesis Water Race, it ran from Ringarooma through Branxholm to the Briesis Tin Mine at Derby.
I walked along it in Feb last year after it was posted somewhere on the forum - not on the 'where am I' thread though.

Hi,
Hmmm!
"Shot down in flames" comes to mind, and I thought that would stump the forum for at least a few responses.
Yes Briseis Race it is.
Perchance?
Location is -41.15739 147.77176
Over to you!
Cheers
It appears that Chops is still out of action so to keep things moving, here's another 'fill in' one.
