Grab yourself a beer from your own fridge, Roger. It's the first body of water, entering Sturt NP from Cameron Corner.
    Where to now?

I thought of Fort Grey ages ago but dismissed it as I recall it appearing to be smaller than your picture indicates but there wasn't much else west of Hungerford. I've seen it dry as well as with water and was amazed to discover that the stone walls of the nearby homestead were once destroyed by wave action!

Give me a moment to hook up the external hard drive and select another Aussie 'graph ................ stand by.

OK here we go - no clues yet but obviously in the drier regions.

As part of the Lake Eyre catchment it would be seasonal and at times dry. That is what led to Billy's belief that it was man made, I expect.
