    I was going to suggest Lake Binney but couldn't see any part of the foreshore that resembled where you are parked , so I try nearby Brady's Lake.

    It appears that Binney was also a bit of a 'bushranger' as the following article testifies.

    TASMANIA.
    LAUNCESTON, November 2.
    Thomas Binney, managing clerk for Mr.
    M. J. Clarke, barrister, of Launceston,
    was arrested to-night on a charge of having
    embezzled ?60 from his employer.

    So which lake was it austastar, Binney or Brady?
