Bugger,, 5 gold rushes started,, there's no way I can check them all out in my smoko break,, and on the phone too.
Im wondering though, if it's in Victoria, if it's the Steigliz Rush, as it's the only name I've never heard of.
Another guess, Walhalla
Cheers Baz.

Only other place I can think of is Cassilas, near Swifts Creek.

We are in Victoria, north of Walhalla and west of Cassilis.
The area is farmland now, surrounded by state forest.
Buckland Valley?

What took you so long Roger?
Where to now?
Getting older + been busy planning a a one week trip for 40ppl and a three month OS trip.
Plus my computer is suffering from overload and is on a go slow.
Now I have to figure out how to post a photo............
That worked but only small image, sorry.
One day (soon I hope) I'll work out how to post a decent size image - in the meantime I hope this will do.
Shouldn't take long anyway.
Clicking on the image seems to instantly open it enlarged and in a new window. Replaced it with larger image - posting method is not much different to old system ...... once you find the correct buttons.
Roger
There's a farm on the site of the old town. The photo was taken from the road in front of the farmhouse looking towards the river. Just out of the picture to the left is a shed which is clearly visible on Google Earth. I can give you more detail when I get home if you want.
Cheers,
Jon
No. I clicked on it and it came up a beauty. Looks like Norman Lindsay's back yard Springwood NSW.
Cheers, Billy.
Keeping it simple is complicated.
