Nowhere near Balranald - far too far west.

I've often used this area as an overnighter on my way to or from the VicHigh country.

So, the water could be, for example, the Hume Weir? Or are we closer to Jindabyne?

The Hume Weir is nearby but this body of water and the obstruction that created it is much, much smaller than the Hume. But in your answer, you have named one of the explorers who passed by here almost 200 years ago.

Hmm. Hume and Hovell, obviously. Nearby... I know they wen't to Tumbrumba, but the body of water... Think music....

Hume and Hovell - tick. Tumbarumba is the nearest town. But "think music" ??? ......... Think Irish
