How/Where did you fit the radio? Was it in the sat/nav hole?

Ziggy, Yep the SAT/NAV cubby hole is where I put the UHF unit. I bought an ICOM 400PRO which fits inside the hole. I mounted the mic brakect on top of the radio mounting bracket that radio comes with. The radio is wedged in the cubby hole with a high density foam block. It doesn't move at all and I can pull out the radio in a few seconds and remove if from the D3.

I'm glad I didn't option the SAT/NAV which would have been useless off road and I wouldn't have any place to put the radio. I use a Magellan with the suction cup windscreen mount and with all the bouncing around nothing moves. I'm happy as Larry with the setup.
