Well LROCV are pretty good for all of that.

Heaps of Enthusiasts off all types, people of all different ages willing to do all types of driving from Easy to Hardcore.

Have a visit of the club site-
    www.lrocv.com.au

You will find quite a few LROCV members on here as well.

Meeting details are on the site.

    Dave.

Hi I'm New we have just bought a new 2.4 l Defender and are experiencing a problem with heat coming through the floor . I have a temp. probe attached to the floor and on a 200km. trip under the seats at the rear of the seats and the floor are registering a temperature of 47 degrees Celcius . On trip from Sydney to Melbourne 11 + hours 900+ kms. It was even Hotter . The dealership are saying these temperatures are normal and so i the landrover care assistance people . Surely this is not nomal especially as the gear box/ transmission are so hot you cannot leave your hand on them. I have travelled re 12000 kms.

yes that happens in our puma there isn't alot between you and the transmission tunnel and a lot of hot air comes in through the handbrake area......

best way to cure it on long trips is to have your aircon on number 1 and believe it or not it goes stone cold!

i actually brunt my leg on the trip up top kakadu on the handbrake it got so hot as we weren't using the aircon
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

    G'day Wardy,

I'd suggest you come along to a meeting or too.. they are only held in Doncaster - so pretty handy for you.

The club is pretty big - so there is a wide range of interests.. so quite a variety in trips and activities too.

Club meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at 8pm, except January. Meetings are held at the Manningham Function Centre on Doncaster Hill (known as the MFC) 699 Doncaster Road Doncaster (Melways 33, F12)

Visitors are always welcome - and that way you can meet a few people and ask all the questions you like..

See if you feel LROCV is what your looking for.

    Cheers, Mark

For me I like a medium sized Club - less then 100 members. It means you get to know most everyone and there's less politics.

There's a few medium sized non vehicle specific Clubs around. Take a look on the 4WD Victoria website - there is a list.

Depends on what they are in to as well. The activities need to match your lifestyle. The one I'm in mostly does family oriented medium trips and camping trips, as well as a few extended outback ones. Suits me. Other clubs are more into harder 4WDing.
