Vlad, Peth city is no big miss, OK but nothing great. Fremantle has more of an ambience, with acouple of good museums, great eatin all over and especially at fishermans wharf. The swan valley cruises are not bad. Rottnest is a good day trip if you have not been there before. The Perth zoo is nice and you could probablly do the city and zoo thing in one day. You can get on a ferry near the zoo and take it across to Perth City. If you can get on to some of the guys in 4wd clubs a trip up to Mundaring area to do some light or serious off roading is a must with a couple of good eateries up there. Hillary boat harbour to the North is a nice place for a feed and some relaxing and has AQUA an aquarium while expensive worth a look. Plenty of diving if you are into diving. If there is a group of you a limo tour at night is a good way to get around. As mentioned Monkey Mia is a graet place but is about 11hrs drive to the North so may not be practical. WA's South West is a great place to visit as well, with some OK wines down at Margaret River and some magnificent country around Blackwood River, Pemberton and Walpole. Maybe a little far for a day trip. Hvae fun Perth is one of the nicest laid out cities in OZ. Wave as you fly over Kalgoorlie, you could always come here instead and look at the Um, Um, Ummmmmmm big holes in the ground, the red dirt and the girls of Hay St.

Sorry thinking out loud again.
I will be in Perth/Bunbury area from the 29th to the 6th, so you could always get an earlier flight and stay longer.

OK the deal has been settled.
Flying Qantas. (Food?!)
Departing: 12th June 2005
Returning: 17th June 2005
Staying: Hotel Ibis Perth - 334 Murray Street, Perth (allegedly in the heart of the CBD).
I would have liked to stay in Freo but this is the best deal we could get at the time. Mind you I could have gone to Singapore for the same $$ - so bloody far away you lot are !!
Since this is during the week, I suppose that means no 4wd tripswhich is a real bugger. Oh well. Next time I should drive over shouldn't I.

If you get time would be great to catch up, even during the day for a quick drink.

Rosie Ogrady's is closing as I believe one of the university campuses has bought it and will be using it as a private building. Fremantle is being taken over by these universities and a lot of the old pubs are being shut as a result. The Esplanade is nice but expensive.
DONT go to the Belltower on the Perth foreshore, what an eysore and a waste of taxpayers money. But hey you might like these things. We all seem to like wasting our money, that's why we drive Rovers. Wahts with the slur on Rockingham, we spend a fair bit of our time there at my sister in laws house. Just because you have to dress in riot gear to use public transport, have security guards escort you into the shopping centre, then catch the bus home as your car is gone and carry a sawn of shotgun under your coat doe not make it a bad place. There's always worse, just head back into Kwinana.
Just had a thought of a good day trip, Book a day trip to the Pinnacles at Cervantes just North of Perth. It is well worth a visit.
If there is a beer on somewhere that week, let us know. I'll try and get there. I have not met any WA Land Rover people let alone an Easterner.
