I am trying to convince a mate to bring his 1971 Troopy. Original and immaculate except for a patina of age with about 35000 miles on it. Can I assume this is OK or are we on a Toyota lynching party? If ever a Tojo was acceptable, this old girl is it.

OK Details are as follows:

Meet at carpark opposite Caltex/Ampol servo on main road through Harvey

Depart from there at 8.00 am Saturday

Expect to finish between 3.30 - 4.00 so anyone who needs to can get back early can do so.

Bring whatever recovery gear you possess

UHF channel 14

If you have mud tyres, put them on and be prepared to get muddy

Please confirm you are coming so I know who to expect.

YOU ARE A TEASE!!!!!!!
Im suppost to be getting ready to paint the house next weekend BUT it has been on waiting for 18 months or so
Now a mate at work wants me to go to Manjimup on the long weekend to watch the motorcross. He also owns a newly purchased Landcruiser ute he is waiting to christen AND he has recovery gear that I dont have
Now if the pair of us bring our vehicles,I wont get the prep done on the house for the long weekend,so I could sneak off to the motor cross Plus he gets to christen his Tojo,IN THE COMPANY OF LANDYS
The main problem Rihcard is my Landy has no recovery spots (as you have seen)and that rear step is still there, and Dans Cruiser ute is standard in the same respect has no extra recovery points.
Would we both be an encumberance, recovery point wise?????
PS WE BOTH HAVE A VERY NICE CHAINSAW WE CAN BRING to remove all those logs over the tracks
Please advise, dont be affraid to offend, better to be safe than sorry

Andy,
We can get over your problems, if no one has a bridle I can make one using my tree protectoe an pull you without snatching from the front axle, if I can't pull you then I can winch you.
Do you have a rear towbar?

Anyway we can overcome the problem.

It would be good to have you there

Please confirm if you are coming

Sorry Richard
Lindsay is very anti series landy, except for the non goer monster in the shed, strangely enough he has a lower opinion of tojo's BUT when I told him that I may go to th motorcross with Dan,he put his hand up for a seat in his TOJO ute
I will invite Lindsay if we go but he really dislikes noise and rough going. But he likes having a drive of the old Landy ,10 year olds, you work them out
